Feb 8 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Crochet Course (3 Weeks) @ Cultural Arts Center | Douglasville | Georgia | United States

All Ages
Wednesdays in February: 8, 15, 22
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
$100 (CAC member $90) for the 3-week course buys you 8 hours of one-on-one instruction from a prize-winning artist. A $30 material fee for newcomers is due to the instructor on the first day of class for your materials. If you have already paid the initial material fee, you do not pay the fee again. There may be preferential material fees during the course for advanced students.

Students will settle into the New Year by creating a sweater to wear while it’s still chilly weather. Kick back and relax while you learn the age-old practice of working yarn for a calming experience that induces agility of mind and peace of heart. People of all ages can benefit from the self-esteem that the craft fosters for the crafter. Whether experienced or new to the medium, children and adults alike will enjoy the meditative quality of crocheting, where individuals will make “utilitarian” art – the art you can use every day. Crocheting develops strong minds, focus, mathematics, and who knows what else you’ll discover throughout the course.

Follow Yvette Johns through projects and exercises as she guides you not only by hand but by spirit too, a joy-filled instructor who will meet you where you’re at. You won’t forget your hours with the do-it-all craft lady! By the end of this course, you will be on your way to making gifts for yourself and others for the rest of your life. You might just say you’ll be “hooked”
